Suzuki SV650S
SK8 Model

2008 SV650S Candy Blue Colour
2008 SV650S: New for 2008 the
Suzuki SV650S
SK8 is available in the
UK with several specification changes and new colour schemes. This
great middle weight V twin has undergone a complete review of it's
engines fuel and ignition systems to make the bike comply with new
stringent emissions regulations for Europe
Changes to the 2008
SV650 include new twin spark plug
cylinder heads, new large rear exhaust can designed for low exhaust
emissions, (but tuned for strong low and middle range torque), and a
remap of the engine management system.
Other changes for the new UK model are: New
instrument cluster - the analogue rev counter is now a modern white
dial unit with a silver outer bezel, very similar to the likes of the
displays on the gsxr models, but not as intrusive. Warning lights are
as before including lcd speedometer, trip-meter & odometer,
temperature gauge, clock, and low fuel warning light.
The new model retains it's sharp characteristic
styling with small nose fairing. The SK8 model features a tinted
screen as standard which sets the bike apart from the previous SK7
model. As well as retaining it's trademark sharp looks the new model
also retains the matt black painted frame.
SV650S Colour Schemes: The 2008 UK model
Suzuki SV650S is available in a choice of three new colours:
- Pearl Nebular Black
- Metallic Thunder Grey
- Candy Blue
The Nebular Black model differs slightly from
the Thunder Grey & Candy Blue bikes in being fitted with a dark red
coloured seat.

The SK8 SV650S will no doubt continue to be a
top selling motorcycle in the UK. Since it's launch in Europe in 1999
this V twin has been one of the most popular bikes sold in the
middleweight category.
One of the reasons for it's success is the
discount price one can be purchased for if you are prepared to shop
around. Also to be considered is the familiar low rate finance deals
offered by Suzuki. Traditionally promoted around spring time each year
the company offers a range of it's bikes on low rate (or even 0%)
finance to attract new customers. Whichever way you look at it
the SV650S is a great buy.
